As part of your application process for admission into the Social Work Department, we ask that you write a brief personal statement responding to the five questions below. Your statement will be read by Social Work faculty and assessed for relevancy of content and clarity of expression. Please use college level writing to convey your thoughts, writing a brief paragraph response to each prompt. In considering your compatibility with the field of social work, we are interested in your ability to convey your thoughts regarding social issues and your perspective on helping. More importantly, we are interested in your ability to discuss who you are and what/who has shaped you as a developing person.
